We bet you ghoulish goblins are wondering what the most haunted house in America actually is, and according to the Travel Channel it’s the Whaley House—though we’re not entirely sure who gives them the authority to decide.
Once home to Thomas Whaley and his family, this house originally built in the 1800s has manya a ghosts for us to explore. This haunted house has seen more than enough tragedy over the years. From family ghosts including no less than two of the Whaley children, to Yankee Jim and the jury box ghost, there’s no shortage of haunted residents.
The Lady Dicks are ready to share with you the tales, mysteries and spooks of the Whaley House. And we’re going to cover all of it’s past lives, which include not only being a family house, but also a courthouse, general store, and a community theatre, among other things.
So, pack your bags and don’t forget to bring your bikini because we’re headed to San Diego, California, to visit the historic Whaley House.
